Hi guys,
I just watched your video on how to use a heat press machine. I need help!!! I just purchased a 15×15 heat press machine, the illumipress Gen II 3804. I also purchased transfer paper b/c I have images that I have created to make kids tees and I tried it last night…. and I feel like this is an iron-on item!!!! did I make a mistake in purchasing the paper?? I wanted to get some input from real sources and co.’s who would be honest with me. I need to know if I use these transfer paper in my inkjet printer, am I just making iron-on quality tees?? thanks

If I can ask, where did you buy your transfer papers? You can buy these in stores like Walmart, Staple, etc., which these will be an iron on transfer. These types are more of a novelty item.
While trasnfer papers are not the most durable product, the higher quality ones will give you a better feel and longer life. We will be doing a video using transfer papers in the near future to demonstrate cutting them on the cutter.

The cutters will work with Vista systems. If it is 64 bit system you will have to download the beta version of the driver. As far as the cost is concerned…

I need a transfer paper for darks, that I can print on with my Epson 7800 Hybrid printer, and apply to dark shirts/pants, that won’t allow the fabric dye to migrate through. HELP!! I usually use the Jet II paper for darks, but have had dye migration when putting on white or light colored graphics/lettering. I just purchased a roll of the Sub-Block from Imprintables, but I can’t print on it.
Tell me more about the Puff paper and Metallic paper, can I print on it with my printer and can I get samples to try before I buy? Thanks. Love your site-very informative.

I would recommend our Inkjet for Darks for your non-white applications. The Jet II will NOT work on anything except whites or very light colors. If you do put it on a pastel color you will still see some of the color because the ink is not 100% opaque. There is no way to have dye migration when applying to whites. Dye migration occurs when a fabric is dye sublimated to color the fabric.
The puff and metallic can be printed on any wide format solvent based printer. It will not work with desktop inkjet or laser printers.

Is the Roland GX-24 Vinyl Cutter a printer what is it im confused like crazy. Please help.

The GX-24 is a cutter only. It can contour cut pre-printed transfers, however. To print the transfers, you would need an inkjet printer that you can pick up from Best Buy, Staples etc.

So you have to pre-print it what does that mean. By the way im planning on buying your stuffy probably this summer break but i just dont have the knowledge to use these machinese i really want to make t-shirts and stuff and be a billboard for my beliefs but the digital imaging and cutting and printing part is confusing me like crazy. Thnaks for listening.

i have digitaly eddited alot of my art work that i have done and am searching for the best way to transfer them on to t-shirts with out loosing any of the quality of the art work, they are pretty detailed and i have tried trasfer paper and the look is very cheep…i was wondering if there was a better alternative in the vinyl world that could help us so we dont have to resort to learning a screen press?
