WELCOME TO PIMPASHIRT.COM!

This special edition BONUS post is coming your way courtesy of the promotion we are doing on http://www.iwearyourshirt.com

Welcome back to our subscribers and welcome to new viewers!  If you have arrived here as a result of Jason Sadler’s, IWEARYOURSHIRT.COM website – we have a special treat for you!  Of course, we are going to teach you exactly how we created the shirt that Jason is rocking out today, because that’s what we do here.  But before we do that, we want to give you a personal invitation to subscribe to this site and join us for a fantastic voyage through the world of t-shirt making.

This is how we do it -  each week we release a new pimpashirt, we launch it through a blog post, we feature it with some photos and then we let you experience the making or what we call the pimping of the shirt through a video.  After it’s all said and done, we fold the shirt all up, place it in a USPS envelope, put a shiny gold bow* on it and send it to one lucky winner from our subscriber list.  As weeks progress and our list grows we’ll be announcing many new giveaways – all related to t-shirts of course.  That’s Pimpashirt.com in a nutshell – now join in on the fun by entering your email at this link.

Now – how do we say welcome to a host of new visitors?  A t-shirt giveaway of course!!!  Since the shirt we are showing today is already on Jason’s back we want to give away 5 – count em 5 – Limited Edition Pimpashirt Logo Tees individually numbered as exclusives.  You have to be on our subscriber list to be eligible to win one of these tees.  Winners will be announced Monday with our regular post.

Finally, let’s talk about today’s feature presentation -

The IWEARYOURSHIRT/PIMPASHIRT Special Edition tee features a cluster of concepts and techniques and was made specifically with our wearer in mind.

First things first - we picked out a black XL t-shirt from Jerzees.  We happened to have a case of these in the warehouse so that was the pick.

Next we thought about the shirt.  How can we make this extra special for Jason, after all the guy wears a different t-shirt every day all year.  How can one t-shirt stand out???

It began with an interview with myself….

Self:  Asks… Rhinestones?

Pimpashirt Emcee Josh (PEJ):  No, he’s not a Rhinestone type of guy, but he did wear a pink almost Care Bears t-shirt.

Self:  Pink Vinyl

PEJ:  No – pinks already been done.  Let’s go for something different.

Self:  Tackle Twill?

PEJ:  No – too heavy on the t-shirt, Jason is in Florida in June not ideal for heavy decoration on a shirt.

Self:  Florida?

PEJ:  Yeah Florida.

Self:  Aha – how about something related to Florida?

PEJ:  Like what an alligator or a palm tree?

Self:  No – something cooler than that.

PEJ:  Hmmm….old people?

Self:  What!!!?

PEJ:  Nevermind – Got It!

Self:  What?

PEJ:  I’ve been following Jason for awhile and know he’s into basketball, and he’s from Florida.  There is a team in Orlando that is quite ‘magical’this year maybe we should do something related to basketball in their colors.

Self:  Nice….but wait isn’t he from the north part of Florida.

PEJ:  Dunno (confirmed afterwards, yes he is) but shirt pimping has begun.  And luckily we know everyone loves a little Magic!

After this deliberation, design began, then cutting , then heat application.  We arrived at a shirt that features the following customizations:

  • The bottom left of the shirt features a cool oversize print of a basketball.  The basketball is designed, then imported into a software program that automatically generates the dot pattern.  We then took the pattern and cut it out of puff material to add some extra dimension to the shirt.
  • Next – the right side of the shirt features a two color stripe pattern with a star.  The star and thin stripe are created out of a diamond plate silver material and the thick stripe is created from a metallic blue vinyl.
  • Lastly – to make this a one of a kind, like all pimpashirt creations – we leaned on a technique that we pioneered called adhesive residue printing.  We used the adhesive residue for that subtle tone on tone finish stating in fact that the shirt Jason is rocking is a Pimpashirt.com Original.

Enjoy the photo of what we think is a great looking t-shirt:
